Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Minister, Nayab Singh Saini said that the 650th Prakash Parv of Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas Ji will be celebrated across the state in 2027 with great devotion, dignity and public participation. To ensure the successful organisation of the year-long celebrations, the state government will constitute a high-level committee to prepare and oversee the event roadmap, he said.

Addressing the mediapersons after the Cabinet meeting in Chandigarh on Tuesday, the Chief Minister said a Haryana delegation will participate in the special religious and spiritual programmes to be held in Varanasi on July 29.

He informed that, on this historic occasion, a ceremonial Kalash containing the sacred soil from the birthplace of Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas Ji will be formally handed over to the Haryana delegation. The ceremony will be attended by senior BJP leaders, including BJP National President, Nitin Nabin, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath, and BJP Scheduled Caste Morcha National President Lal Singh Arya, among others.

The Chief Minister further said that the delegation will return with the sacred Kalash and reach Sirhaul Border in Gurugram on the evening of July 30, where it will be accorded a grand welcome by senior BJP leaders. Thereafter, the Kalash will be placed at Shri Sheetla Mata Temple, Gurugram.

He said that on August 4, the sacred soil from the Kalash will be ceremonially distributed to the presidents of all 27 organisational districts of BJP Haryana and prominent social representatives. Subsequently, the holy soil will be taken to villages across the state as part of the ‘Samrasta Sankalp Abhiyan’, to spread Sant Guru Ravidas Ji’s timeless message of social harmony, equality, social justice and human welfare to every household.

Cabinet Minister, Krishan Bedi, Additional Director, Information, Public Relations, Languages Department, Manish Lohan, Media Advisor to Chief Minister Rajeev Jaitly, and Media Secretary, Praveen Attrey also remained present on this occasion.
