New Delhi: The Delhi High Court on Monday strongly criticised the makers of the upcoming film ‘Kala Hiran: The Battle for Legacy’ while hearing actor Salman Khan’s petition alleging violation of his personality rights.

During the hearing, the High Court warned the filmmakers to remove the film’s teaser from online platforms within 24 hours, failing which it would direct social media platforms to take it down.

The court observed that if the teaser is not removed voluntarily within the stipulated time, it may issue directions to platforms such as X and YouTube to remove the content.

Salman Khan has approached the Delhi High Court alleging that the film violates his personality rights and harms his public image.

According to the petition, the film is allegedly inspired by the 1998 blackbuck poaching case involving the actor and contains material that could damage his reputation.

The matter remains under consideration before the Delhi High Court, with further proceedings expected after the expiry of the 24-hour deadline.
