Apply for PM Rashtriya Bal Puraskar by July 31

Chandigarh: The Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India, has invited nominations for the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar until July 31. The awards recognise children who have demonstrated exceptional achievements in the fields of bravery, sports, social science, science and technology, environment, art, and culture. Children aged 5 to 18 years as of July 31 are eligible for consideration. The selected awardees will be honoured by the President of India at a ceremony scheduled for January 2027. The awards will be officially announced on December 26, 2026, on the occasion of Veer Bal Diwas.

Sharing information in this regard, an official spokesperson said that 25 children will be selected across various categories. Each awardee will receive a medal and a certificate of appreciation. Applications will first be screened by a Screening Committee, after which the National Committee will make the final selection.

Nominations for the PM Rashtriya Bal Puraskar may be submitted by State Governments, Union Territory Administrations, District Collectors/District Magistrates, Panchayati Raj Institutions, all Central and State School Boards, and the National Selection Committee.
