Chandigarh: Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker Sardar Kultar Singh Sandhwan today paid heartfelt tributes to the great Sikh warrior and martyr, Baba Banda Singh Bahadur, on his martyrdom day.
Speaker Sandhwan recalled the unparalleled sacrifice of the iconic commander. He highlighted Baba Banda Singh Bahadur’s historic role in establishing the first sovereign Sikh rule. He also praised his revolutionary land reforms that gave land ownership rights to poor tillers and farmers.
“Baba Banda Singh Bahadur’s life is a shining example of bravery, justice, and selflessness,” Sandhwan said. “He fought relentlessly against tyranny and oppression to protect the human rights of the downtrodden. His ultimate sacrifice will continue to inspire generations to stand up against injustice.” The Speaker urged the people, especially the youth, to follow the ideals of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur.
