Raghav Chadha Allocates Rs 3.25 Crore for Punjab Flood Relief and Embankment Strengthening

New Delhi– AAP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha has announced the allocation of Rs 3.25 crore from his MPLAD funds to support Punjab’s ongoing flood relief efforts and strengthen embankments to prevent future disasters.

Chadha underlined the gravity of the situation, noting that recent floods have destroyed homes, submerged farmlands, and claimed 30 lives. Out of the total funds, ₹2.75 crore will go toward strengthening flood protection embankments in vulnerable areas, while ₹50 lakh will be used for immediate relief and rehabilitation of affected families.

Calling the allocation “Punjab’s money, for Punjab’s people,” Chadha emphasized that the step is both for urgent humanitarian support and for long-term protection against recurring floods. He further pledged to raise the issue in Parliament to seek maximum assistance from the Centre for Punjab’s recovery.
