New Delhi: Panic gripped a locality in Delhi after unidentified gunmen opened fire outside a gym associated with Punjabi singer Guru Randhawa. The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has allegedly claimed responsibility for the attack through a social media post, linking the incident to the singer’s reported association with Bollywood actor Salman Khan.
According to Delhi Police, two motorcycle-borne assailants arrived at the gym and fired several rounds at the glass façade before fleeing the scene. No injuries were reported in the incident. Police have launched an investigation and are examining CCTV footage from the area to identify the attackers. Multiple teams have been deployed to trace those involved.
Soon after the firing, a social media post purportedly issued by a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang surfaced online, claiming responsibility for the attack. The message reportedly cited the gym’s connection with Salman Khan as the reason behind the shooting. Authorities are currently verifying the authenticity of the post.
The incident has renewed concerns over the activities of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, which has previously been linked to threats and attacks targeting high-profile personalities. Security agencies are investigating whether the shooting was intended as a warning or part of a broader extortion or intimidation campaign.
Police officials have not yet confirmed the gang’s involvement and said all angles are being examined as part of the ongoing probe.
