New Delhi: The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), a recently launched political outfit that has gained popularity among students and young people on social media, on Tuesday announced the appointment of three spokespersons as it prepares to expand its outreach ahead of a planned protest over alleged failures in the education system.
In a post on X, the party founded by social media personality Abhijeet Dipke named investigative journalist Saurav Das as its chief spokesperson. Political researcher and filmmaker Vijeta Dahiya and former management consultant Ashutosh Ranka have also been appointed as spokespersons to represent the organisation before the public and the media.
Announcing the appointments, the party said it aims to reshape India’s political discourse through a new generation of leaders. “The CJP is committed to changing the political discourse of India, and this will be led by a new generation of leaders,” the party stated.
According to the organisation, Das brings extensive experience in journalism, particularly in reporting on legal, judicial and social issues. The party also credited him with playing a prominent role in anti-pollution demonstrations held at India Gate in November 2025.
Dahiya, a political researcher, author and filmmaker, has worked on research and content creation for several YouTube platforms. A graduate of Delhi Technological University (DTU), he has authored the books Power of Universe and To Hell With That Job. He has also written and directed the Haryanvi films Dararen and Opri Parai.
The third appointee, Ashutosh Ranka, is an alumnus of IIT Kanpur and the London School of Economics. He previously worked with global consulting firm McKinsey & Company in London before returning to India last year. Since then, he has been associated with public campaigns in Jaipur focusing on environmental issues, education reforms and youth concerns, including those linked to the NEET paper leak controversy.
The appointments come ahead of Dipke’s scheduled return to India on June 6. The CJP founder has announced plans to launch a peaceful protest in Delhi demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the alleged NEET paper leak and issues related to the CBSE system.
Launched only last month, the Cockroach Janta Party has rapidly attracted attention online, particularly among students and young voters, by focusing on education, examination reforms and youth-centric issues.
