Haryana Notifies 45-Day Timeline for Groundwater Borewell Permission

Chandigarh: The Haryana Government has brought a service of Haryana Water Resources (Conservation, Regulation and Management) Authority under the Haryana Right to Service Act, 2014.

According to a notification issued by Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi, the service of granting No Objection Certificate/Permission for making a borewell for abstraction of groundwater by the Haryana Water Resources (Conservation, Regulation and Management) Authority will now be provided within a fixed timeline of 45 days.

As per the notification, the concerned Chief Technical Officer will serve as the Designated Officer for the service. The Chief Hydrologist has been appointed as the First Grievances Redressal Authority, while the Chief Executive Officer will function as the Second Grievances Redressal Authority.
