Governor visits Vedic Heritage Campus at Art of Living International Centre

Shimla: Governor Kavinder Gupta today visited the Veda Agama Samskrutha Maha Patashala-Sri Sri Gurukulam, Vedic Heritage Campus, located at Ved Vignan Maha Vidya Peeth, The Art of Living International Centre, Bengaluru.

During the visit, the Governor interacted with students, scholars and faculty members of the Gurukulam and appreciated the institution’s efforts in preserving and promoting India’s rich Vedic heritage, Sanskrit language and traditional knowledge systems.

The Governor praised the contribution of Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and The Art of Living Foundation for establishing and supporting a centre dedicated to Vedic education and spiritual learning. He said that the institution has emerged as an important centre for the study of Vedas, Agama Shastra, Sanskrit, and other traditional disciplines.

Gupta also visited the Somnath Temple situated within the Gurukul campus and offered prayers and sought blessings. He said the temple adds to the spiritual and peaceful atmosphere of the campus and provides an inspiring environment for young students pursuing traditional education.

Speaking on the occasion, the Governor said ‘Institutions like the Veda Agama Samskrutha Maha Patashala are helping preserve Bharat’s timeless cultural and spiritual heritage. He said that it is encouraging to see young students learning our ancient traditions, values and scriptures with dedication. He said that such Gurukulams play an important role in carrying forward India’s rich civilization wisdom for future generations.

During the visit the Governor was received by the senior faculty members and administration of the Patashala, who briefed him about the academic programmes, teaching methods and activities being carried out at the Gurukul.
