Chandigarh: Voting for several crucial urban local body elections across Haryana began on Sunday morning, with polling stations opening at 8:00 AM amid tight security arrangements. Citizens will be able to cast their votes until 6:00 PM.
The elections are being held for municipal corporations in Panchkula, Ambala and Sonipat, along with the municipal council in Rewari. Polling is also taking place for municipal committees in Sampla, Dharuhera and Uklana.
Election authorities have made extensive arrangements to ensure smooth polling, including deployment of security personnel and monitoring teams at sensitive booths. Officials have appealed to voters to participate in large numbers and exercise their democratic right peacefully.
