Hapur: Six people were killed and seven others injured in a horrific road accident on the Dhaulana-Gulawati Road in Hapur, Uttar Pradesh, on Monday. The incident occurred when a bus carrying a wedding party collided head-on with a truck. According to local authorities, there were a total of 12 passengers on the bus at the time of the crash, most of whom were returning from a marriage ceremony.

Superintendent of Police Gyananjaya Singh stated that police teams rushed to the spot immediately to initiate rescue operations. While six individuals were declared dead at the scene, the seven injured passengers were moved to a nearby hospital for urgent medical attention. One of the deceased, believed to be the bus driver, is yet to be formally identified. The impact of the collision was so severe that it caused significant damage to the bus, leading to a temporary disruption of traffic on the busy route.

Hapur police have since cleared the wreckage from the road, and traffic movement has returned to normal. Relatives of the deceased have arrived at the site, and legal proceedings have been initiated to investigate the cause of the collision. Preliminary reports suggest that high speed or poor visibility might have played a role, though a detailed probe is currently underway to determine the exact circumstances of the tragedy.
