Man Dies by Suicide in Ludhiana Amid Alleged Domestic Dispute; Police Begin Probe

Ludhiana— A 35-year-old man allegedly died by suicide in Ludhiana after consuming sulphas tablets, with family members attributing the incident to prolonged domestic disputes.

The deceased, identified as Pradeep, was reportedly under stress for some time due to ongoing family issues. According to his relatives, he had been facing alleged mental harassment linked to disputes with his wife and her family, which they claim led him into depression.

Police said the matter is being investigated, and statements from both sides are being recorded to ascertain the circumstances leading to the incident.

In a further development, tensions escalated after the man’s death, with allegations that members from his in-laws’ side entered the house, creating a disturbance. Authorities intervened after receiving information about the situation.

Police have taken the wife and her brothers into custody for questioning, and further action will be taken based on the findings of the investigation.
