Indore: A devastating road accident early on Monday morning claimed the lives of three individuals and left nine others injured in Madhya Pradesh’s Indore district. The collision occurred when a multi-utility vehicle (MUV) returning from a wedding event collided with a truck on the Indore-Nemawar Road around 1:30 a.m., according to police reports.
The victims, who had attended a wedding in the nearby Dewas district, were making their way back to Indore when the tragic accident took place. The crash resulted in the deaths of three young men—identified as Mohammad Farhan (19), Arish Ali (20), and Mohammad Irfan (24). The injured, who were rushed to Government Maharaja Yashwantrao Hospital in Indore, are currently undergoing treatment for their injuries.
Assistant Sub-Inspector Jagdish Rathod confirmed that the truck driver fled the scene following the accident, and police are actively searching for him. The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation.
Following the collision, an angry mob of locals gathered at the site and attempted to set the truck on fire. However, police quickly intervened to prevent any further escalation, restoring order in the area.
The incident has left the local community in shock and mourning, with authorities vowing to take swift action in the ongoing search for the truck driver responsible for this tragic accident.
