Chandigarh: Haryana Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Minister, Rajesh Nagar said that there is no shortage of gas and fuel in the state and the supply is completely normal. He said that some anti-social elements are trying to spread rumours and create unnecessary panic, which will not be tolerated. He appealed to the public not to pay attention to any kind of rumours and to rely only on official information.
The Minister said this on Thursday while chairing a review meeting held at Faridabad, regarding the current status of gas and fuel supply. During the meeting, senior district officers presented detailed information about the availability of LPG gas and petrol-diesel in the area. Representatives of Hindustan Petroleum and Bharat Petroleum, along with operators of various gas agencies, were also present.
Rajesh Nagar said that the government is taking strict action against those involved in black marketing of gas. So far, FIRs have been registered against 9 persons across the state, including Faridabad, and strict vigilance will continue against such activities.
He directed officers to ensure regular inspections so that any irregularity can be stopped immediately. He said that the government is fully committed to ensuring the convenience of the general public and the availability of essential commodities. Better coordination among the administration, oil companies, and gas agencies will be ensured to resolve any potential issues in time, he added.
Deputy Commissioner, Ayush Sinha, DCP, Sh. Jai Veer Rathi, CTM, Ankit Kumar, and other officers were also present during the meeting.
