Donald Trump Warns of Stronger Strikes on Iran as Tehran Oil Facility Hit in Escalating Conflict

Tehran/Washington: The conflict in West Asia intensified further after a major fuel storage facility in Iran’s capital was struck, sending towering flames into the night sky and raising fears of a deeper regional confrontation.

According to the Israeli military, the facility in Tehran was targeted during a series of airstrikes carried out by Israel as part of its ongoing operations against Iran. Video footage from the scene showed large plumes of smoke and fire lighting up the skyline following the strike.

Iranian state media accused the United States and Israel of jointly attacking the site, which reportedly supplies fuel to Tehran and surrounding northern provinces. It appeared to be the first time that a major civilian industrial facility had been hit since the conflict began.

Amid the escalating hostilities, US President Donald Trump warned that Washington could intensify its military response against Iran. Trump indicated that further action could follow if Iranian attacks continued across the region.

Earlier in the day, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian issued an apology to neighbouring countries for the spillover of hostilities, acknowledging that recent strikes had affected parts of the Gulf region. His remarks came as Iranian missiles and drones were launched toward several targets beyond Israel.

Despite the apology, hardline voices within Iran signalled that the country’s broader military strategy would remain unchanged. Iranian forces have continued launching projectiles toward Israeli territory while also expanding attacks across the Gulf.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the campaign against Iran would move into a new phase, hinting at “many surprises” in the coming days as operations intensify.

With both sides escalating attacks and diplomatic efforts showing little progress, the conflict has raised alarm across the region, with neighbouring states bracing for further instability and possible disruptions to energy supplies.
