NEW DELHI — The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) declared the final results of the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2025 on Friday, March 6, 2026. Anuj Agnihotri has secured the prestigious All India Rank (AIR) 1, emerging as the topper of one of the country’s most competitive examinations. He is followed by Rajeshwari Suve M, who bagged the second rank, and Akansh Dhull, who secured the third position.

A total of 958 candidates have been recommended for appointment to various elite services, including the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), and Indian Police Service (IPS). The commission noted that the candidature of 348 of these recommended individuals remains provisional pending further verification. The 2025 recruitment drive sought to fill 1,087 vacancies reported by the Central Government across different departments.

The civil services examination is a rigorous three-stage process involving the preliminary objective test, the main written examination, and a final personality test (interview). For the successful candidates, the declaration of results marks the culmination of years of intensive preparation. For those who appeared but did not make the final list, the UPSC stated that individual marks will be uploaded to the official website within 15 days of the result declaration.

Candidates seeking further clarification regarding the recruitment process can contact the UPSC “facilitation counter” at its Dholpur House campus in person or via telephone during working hours. As the news of the results spread, celebrations erupted across the hometowns of the top rankers, with many newly selected officers expressing their commitment to contributing toward India’s administrative and strategic goals in an increasingly complex global environment.
