Mumbai: Airlines faced temporary disruptions in passenger check-ins at several airports on Thursday morning due to a software issue that lasted for over 40 minutes, sources said.

According to sources, carriers including IndiGo, Air India Express, SpiceJet, and Akasa Air were impacted at airports in Delhi, Mumbai and other cities.

The check-in systems were reportedly down from around 6:45 am to 7:28 am due to the software outage. The issue was subsequently resolved, and normal operations resumed, one of the sources said.

Despite the glitch, sources indicated that disruptions were limited and did not cause major operational setbacks for the airlines.

There was no official statement from the affected airlines at the time of reporting.
