Student Killed, Three Injured in Clash at Latur College; Four Arrested

Latur: A 20-year-old student was stabbed to death and three others sustained serious injuries following a violent clash between two groups at a college in Maharashtra’s Latur city on Monday evening, police said.

The incident took place inside a college campus located on Ausa Road, where a dispute between two groups of third-year diploma students reportedly escalated into violence.

According to police officials, the deceased has been identified as Vikram Narayan Panchal (20). He was allegedly passing through the area when he was attacked and fatally stabbed during the confrontation. Three other students were also injured in the clash and were admitted to a government hospital for treatment.

Police have arrested four students in connection with the case. An investigation is underway to determine the exact sequence of events and the motive behind the altercation.

Following the incident, Amit Deshmukh, Congress MLA from Latur, urged authorities to take strict action to control rising crime and illegal activities in the city.
