Mumbai: A playful moment from India’s 2025 Champions Trophy victory has resurfaced, highlighting Virat Kohli’s well-known sense of humour. Indian pacer Harshit Rana recently shared an amusing interaction involving Kohli and Bollywood star Anushka Sharma inside the team dressing room.

Speaking to Men’s XP, Harshit recalled meeting Anushka for the first time after a match. Out of respect, he addressed her formally as “ma’am,” but Kohli quickly stepped in with his trademark wit.

“I entered the dressing room and Anushka was also there. I was meeting her for the first time, so I called her ‘ma’am’. Then he told me, ‘Tu ma’am kyu bol raha hai inko? Bhabhi bol inko,’” Harshit recounted, laughing.

The banter continued when Harshit tried to explain the formality. Kohli jokingly reminded Anushka that just moments earlier, he had poured champagne on Harshit, adding, “And now he’s calling you ma’am!”

Reflecting on the incident, Harshit said, “He likes to joke a lot,” capturing the former captain’s playful and easygoing personality off the field.

Fans of Indian cricket are fond of such behind-the-scenes stories, which show the lighter side of the team’s celebrations following their Champions Trophy success.
