Kanpur: A shocking incident has come to light from Kanpur’s countryside, where a Class 8 student was abducted and strangled to death by unidentified assailants traveling in a car. The victim’s body was later discovered in roadside bushes in the Shivli area.

The victim, identified as 15-year-old Kuldeep Nishad, was a resident of Gurayanpur village in Sajeti. Alongside attending Hans Vidya Mandir, Ganga Ganj, Kuldeep helped his family financially by selling pani ke batashe from a pushcart near Cambridge intersection in the Panki area.

According to his elder brother Pradeep Nishad, Kuldeep was last seen on the night of August 12 while returning home around 11 p.m. from the intersection. When he failed to arrive, the family began searching for him and later found his pushcart abandoned roughly 500 meters away, near Kashiram.

Police investigations have revealed disturbing CCTV footage. The video shows Kuldeep pushing his cart when a car overtakes and stops ahead of him. Several individuals are then seen forcefully pulling him into the vehicle before fleeing. Preliminary examination of the body shows marks on the neck, indicating strangulation.

Following the complaint filed by Kuldeep’s family, two dedicated police teams have been formed to track down the culprits. In addition, two street vendors have been detained for questioning based on suspicion.

The body was recovered in Shivli on Thursday and sent for post-mortem by the local police. Authorities are now analyzing CCTV footage from nearby areas to piece together the events leading up to the murder.

Police have assured that strict action will be taken and the perpetrators will be brought to justice soon.
