New Delhi – US electric vehicle giant Tesla will inaugurate its second Indian Experience Centre on August 11 at Worldmark 3, Aerocity, New Delhi, strengthening its presence in the country’s fast-growing EV market.
The facility will allow visitors to view and explore Tesla’s latest electric offerings, including the recently launched Model Y midsize SUV. The company confirmed the opening on X, stating: “Tesla Experience Centre, Aerocity – opening tomorrow, August 11, at 2 pm. Delhi, Worldmark 3.”
This comes less than a month after Tesla opened its first Indian showroom at Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) in Mumbai. On July 15, Tesla officially entered the Indian market with the Model Y, priced from ₹60 lakh.
The Model Y is currently the only Tesla model available in India, offered in two variants:
- Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) – ₹60 lakh, range up to 455 km, 0–100 km/h in 6.9 seconds.
- Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive (LR RWD) – ₹68 lakh, extended 622 km range, 0–100 km/h in 5.6 seconds.
An optional Full Self-Driving (FSD) package can be added for ₹6 lakh. The Model Y comes in six exterior colours, with Stealth Grey at no extra cost. Other options, including Pearl White Multi-Coat, Diamond Black, Ultra Red, Quicksilver, and Glacier Blue, incur additional charges. Interior themes are available in black or white, both in a five-seat configuration.
Performance features include rapid supercharging (up to 267 km range in 15 minutes for the LR RWD), heated and ventilated front seats with power recline, heated second-row seats with two-way power folding, and a hands-free power liftgate. Driver assistance is supported by eight exterior cameras and upgraded second-generation hardware.
Currently, Tesla sales, deliveries, and registration are available in Mumbai, Delhi, and Gurugram. Model Y deliveries are scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2025.
