Mumbai: Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu surprised fans on Monday by announcing her marriage to filmmaker Raj Nidimoru through a series of heartfelt photos shared on Instagram. The actress marked the date “01.12.2025” in her caption along with white heart emojis, making their relationship officially public for the first time.
The pictures reveal a simple yet spiritual ceremony. In the opening frame, Raj is seen placing a ring on Samantha’s finger as the couple stands before Linga Bhairavi. Another image captures Samantha holding Raj closely while showing her engagement ring. The remaining visuals show the couple performing rituals, offering aarti, and kneeling before the deity. The final photo features the newly married pair smiling as they walk through a flower-adorned entrance.
Raj wore a white kurta paired with a beige Nehru jacket, while Samantha chose a traditional red and gold saree, complemented by fresh flowers in her hair.
The posts quickly drew an outpouring of love from fans and colleagues. Anupama Parameswaran, Nimrat Kaur, Dimple Hayathi and other celebrities congratulated the couple in the comments.
Rumours about their relationship had been circulating since early 2024, after the two were frequently seen together. The pair previously collaborated on The Family Man Season 2 and Citadel: Honey Bunny, where Samantha stars and Raj directs.
This is the second marriage for both. Samantha was married to actor Naga Chaitanya from 2017 to 2021, while Raj was earlier married to Shhyamali De.
