New Delhi: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday arrested a seventh individual in connection with the November 10 blast outside Delhi’s Red Fort. The latest arrest, Soyab of Dhauj, Faridabad, Haryana, was taken into custody for allegedly providing shelter and logistical support to terrorist Umar Un Nabi in the days leading up to the attack.

Investigations by the NIA indicate that Soyab assisted Umar, who drove the explosive-laden car that detonated near the historic monument, resulting in multiple casualties and injuries. Sources said the agency continues to follow several leads across states, coordinating with local police to trace additional associates involved in the incident.

This is the latest in a series of arrests linked to the case. Earlier, six key aides of Umar had been apprehended, including Dr Muzammil Shakeel Ganai of Pulwama, Dr Adeel Ahmed Rather of Anantnag, Dr Shaheen Saeed of Lucknow, and Mufti Irfan Ahmad Wagay of Shopian. The group is reported to have played critical roles in facilitating the terror plot.

Additionally, two other accused—Amir Rashid Ali, in whose name the blast vehicle was registered, and Jasir Bilal Wani, who provided technical support—had also been taken into custody. All seven individuals are currently under NIA custody as investigations continue into the deadly attack.

Authorities have stressed that the probe is ongoing, with the NIA conducting searches and tracking suspects to dismantle the network behind the attack and prevent further threats to national security.
