Anandpur Sahib, November 25, 2025: History was created in Anandpur Sahib when the Punjab Government organized the world’s first religious drone show to mark the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. More than fifty thousand devotees and guests gathered to witness this unique tribute, remembering the Ninth Sikh Guru’s supreme sacrifice in an extraordinary way.
Over three thousand drones lit up the night sky, creating shining images that told the story of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s life and his sacrifice for the freedom of faith. As the darkness fell, the drones rose together to form the holy Khanda Saab symbol, glowing like gold in the night sky. The crowd watched in awe and reverence.
The Chief Minister of Punjab inaugurated the show, saying it reflected the government’s commitment to honoring Sikh heritage through modern technology. “Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji gave his life to protect everyone’s right to religious freedom. Today, we are spreading his message of tolerance and courage across the world using technology,” he said.
The 15-minute show took the audience on an emotional journey through history. The drones formed scenes of Guru Ji meditating, his imprisonment at the Red Fort, and the breaking of chains as a symbol of liberation. Each visual was accompanied by sacred hymns and explanations, making the experience both educational and deeply spiritual for the youth.
Technical experts shared that the show took months of planning and coordination. The team worked closely with Sikh scholars and the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee to ensure every image and symbol was culturally respectful and spiritually accurate.
