Indigo Flight From Mumbai Damaged After Bird Strike in Dehradun, All Passengers Safe

Dehradun, November 23, 2025 — An Indigo aircraft arriving from Mumbai suffered damage after a bird hit its nose while landing at Jolly Grant Airport near Rishikesh on Sunday evening. Officials confirmed that all 186 passengers on board are safe.

The incident took place around 6:45 pm when Indigo flight IGO 5032 touched down on the runway and was struck by a bird, causing visible damage to the aircraft’s nose section. Airport authorities immediately initiated standard safety procedures.

A detailed inspection of the aircraft and a full safety audit of the runway were carried out to ensure operational safety before further flight movements could resume.
