New Delhi: A 16-year-old Class 10 student died by alleged suicide at Rajendra Place Metro Station, leaving behind a handwritten note accusing his school teachers of mentally harassing him and pushing him towards the extreme step. The note, recovered from his school bag, has become the centre of a growing protest by students and parents demanding strict action and a fair investigation.

According to police, the teenager apologised to his family in the note and requested that his organs be donated if possible. He wrote that he had been repeatedly troubled by teachers, whose behaviour made him feel helpless. He urged authorities to ensure that no other student faces similar treatment.

“I am very sorry I did this, but the school staff said so much that I had to do it… My last wish is that action be taken against them so that no other student does what I did,” the note stated.

The boy’s death sparked outrage outside the school, where parents and students gathered demanding accountability. Many accused the school administration of ignoring earlier complaints and failing to address the student’s distress.

As per the FIR, the boy’s father alleged that his son had been under severe mental stress due to constant scolding, insults and alleged harassment by certain teachers. Despite raising concerns verbally with teachers and the school principal, the family claims no corrective action was taken.

On November 18, the teenager left home for school while his father was away but instead went to the metro station, where he allegedly jumped from Platform No. 2. His school bag, containing the suicide note, was later recovered by police.

Investigators said further inquiry is underway and additional details are expected as the probe progresses.
