Tel Aviv— Israeli Economy and Industry Minister Nir Barkat is set to welcome India’s Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal on Thursday, marking one of the most significant bilateral business engagements in recent years.

Goyal will arrive with a high-powered delegation of more than 100 representatives from top Indian companies, including Mahindra, Amul, Asian Paints, and others from sectors such as high-tech, pharmaceuticals, robotics, automotive, agritech, construction, and online commerce.

According to Israel’s Economy and Industry Ministry, this is the largest business delegation India has ever sent to the country. The visit aims to strengthen trade, boost investment, and accelerate progress toward a potential free trade agreement between the two nations.

India, now the world’s fifth-largest economy, is also Israel’s second-largest trading partner in Asia—underscoring the growing strategic importance of economic ties between the two countries.
