Bilaspur— A late-night fire broke out in a house located in Tikrapara’s Murti Gali under the City Kotwali police station area, triggering panic among family members and neighbours. The blaze spread rapidly, destroying furniture and all belongings on the upper floor of the house.

The house belongs to Saurabh Pratap Singh, also known as Chhote Raja. Around 8 pm on Monday, the fire suddenly erupted and moved from the entrance towards the inner room. Seeing the flames, the residents rushed towards the balcony and managed to escape safely.

Neighbours, alerted by the commotion, immediately informed the fire department. Within minutes, two large fire tenders from the Nagar Sena Fire Brigade reached the spot and began the rescue operation. It took nearly one and a half hours for the team to fully extinguish the blaze.

No casualties were reported in the incident, but all items stored on the upper floor were completely gutted. The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
