Mirzapur: Tragedy struck on Wednesday as three pilgrims lost their lives after being hit by the Kalka–Howrah train while crossing the railway tracks in Mirzapur. The victims had reportedly come to take a holy dip on the occasion of Kartik Purnima.
Preliminary reports indicate that the accident occurred when the pilgrims disembarked from the train from the wrong side and attempted to cross the tracks. The train struck them, leaving the victims fatally injured.
