Dubai: In a precautionary move, the prominent Guru Nanak Darbar Gurudwara has been shut down temporarily following security-related concerns and directives issued by local authorities.
The management of the gurudwara confirmed the decision through an official statement, noting that the closure has been implemented in compliance with government instructions, with the safety of devotees and staff being the top priority.
Appealing for calm and cooperation, the administration urged members of the Sikh community to respect the decision and remain patient during this period. Devotees have also been advised to rely on official communication channels for updates regarding the reopening.
The unexpected suspension of activities has disrupted routine prayers and gatherings at the gurudwara, which is regarded as one of the most significant Sikh religious centres in the Gulf region.
Authorities have not specified the duration of the closure, and further clarity is expected once the situation is reviewed.
