IndiGo Announces Full Refunds for Cancellations After Government Issues Deadline

New Delhi— After the Ministry of Civil Aviation directed IndiGo to process refunds by December 7, the airline on Saturday confirmed that it will issue full refunds for all bookings cancelled between December 5 and December 15. The move comes amid widespread disruptions and mounting passenger complaints over flight cancellations in recent days.

IndiGo said the refunds will be processed in full for every affected ticket within the specified window, assuring passengers that the airline is complying with the government’s instructions and working to resolve the situation at the earliest.

The Civil Aviation Ministry had stepped in earlier this week after flight disruptions led to sudden spikes in airfares and large-scale inconvenience for travellers. The ministry instructed the airline to ensure timely refunds and maintain transparency in its operations.
