The second car, which bore a Gujarat registration number, was reportedly en route from Rajgarh in Rajasthan’s Churu district to Vapi in Gujarat. Four people travelling in that vehicle sustained injuries in the crash and are currently receiving medical treatment.
In the car carrying the Udaipur youths, two occupants survived but suffered serious injuries and have been admitted to hospital, police said. The impact of the collision was severe, leading to the immediate death of four teenagers at the spot.
Police have shifted the bodies to the mortuary at MB Hospital for post-mortem examinations. Both vehicles involved in the accident have been taken into custody as part of the investigation. Further inquiry is underway to determine the exact cause of the crash.
