New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is preparing to conduct the Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations for the 2025–26 academic session, with exams scheduled to begin on February 17, 2026. As the examination season approaches, students are awaiting the release of their admit cards, which will be made available through the board’s official website.

While the online portal has already been activated, CBSE has not yet issued admit cards for regular school candidates. Once released, students will be able to access their hall tickets from the official CBSE website at cbse.gov.in. Notably, admit cards for private candidates were issued earlier, on January 19, 2026.

Looking at previous years’ timelines, CBSE had released admit cards for Classes 10 and 12 on February 3 in 2025. Based on this pattern, students can expect the 2026 admit cards to be available before February 10.

How to download CBSE Class 10 and 12 admit cards

Students can follow these steps once the admit cards are released:

  • Visit the official CBSE website at cbse.gov.in
  • Click on the relevant link for “CBSE Board Exams 2026 Class 10 Admit Card” or “Class 12 Admit Card”
  • Enter the required credentials, such as roll number or other details
  • The admit card will appear on the screen
  • Download and save a copy for future reference

Schools typically distribute admit cards to regular students after downloading them from the portal, and students are advised to check with their respective institutions as well.

Information mentioned on the admit card

The CBSE admit card will contain essential details related to the examination, including:

  • Name of the student
  • Roll number
  • School and centre numbers
  • Photograph
  • Subject names and subject codes
  • Examination dates
  • Admit card ID
  • Date of birth
  • Name of the examination

Students are advised to carefully verify all the details printed on the admit card and report any discrepancies to their school authorities or CBSE officials well before the exams begin. Carrying the admit card to the examination centre is mandatory, as entry will not be permitted without it.
