Beauty Parlour Owner Injured in Acid Attack on Patna Outskirts, Probe Underway

Mokama (Patna): A beauty parlour owner was allegedly attacked with acid in Mokama, on the outskirts of Patna, late Sunday night, police officials said.

The incident occurred when the 40-year-old woman was returning home after shutting her parlour for the day. According to the police, two unidentified men arrived on a motorcycle and threw acid on her before fleeing the spot.

The woman sustained minor burn injuries on her face and was rushed to a nearby hospital by local residents. Senior Deputy Superintendent of Police (SDPO), Barh, Anand Kumar Singh said her condition is stable and she is out of danger.

Police have registered a case and launched a search operation to trace the accused. Officials said the motive behind the attack is not yet clear and is being investigated from multiple angles.

Authorities have assured strict action once the perpetrators are identified, while further investigation into the incident is ongoing.
