Amritsar: In a unique artistic tribute to international diplomacy, Dr. Jagjot Singh Rubal, a celebrated painter from Amritsar, Punjab, has completed a seven-foot-tall portrait of Russian President Vladimir Putin, emblazoned with the words “Echoes of Friendship.” The striking artwork, rendered in acrylic on canvas, took Rubal 13 days to finish and is intended to celebrate the longstanding friendship between India and Russia.
Speaking about his creation, Rubal said the painting is his personal way of welcoming President Putin to India, reflecting Punjab’s pride in the two countries’ deep-rooted ties. “This is my tribute to the spirit of collaboration and camaraderie that India and Russia have shared over decades,” he explained.
Dr. Rubal is no stranger to large-scale projects and international recognition. Over the years, he has painted portraits of Indian Presidents, Prime Ministers, and film icons, earning 65 world records across platforms including the India Book of Records, Asia Book of Records, and America Book of Records.
The portrait not only showcases Rubal’s technical skill and attention to detail but also serves as a symbol of cultural diplomacy, highlighting how art can reflect and strengthen international relationships. With this creation, the artist aims to underscore the friendship between nations in a visually impactful and memorable manner.
As India hosts President Putin, the artwork stands as a vivid reminder of the shared history and continued cooperation between the two countries, blending patriotism, creativity, and diplomacy in a single canvas.
