Hyderabad: Actor Allu Arjun and members of his security team have been named among 23 accused in the charge sheet filed in connection with the stampede that occurred during the premiere of Pushpa 2 at Chikkadpally in Hyderabad in December 2024.
According to officials, the charge sheet was filed recently, naming the theatre management as the prime accused in the case. Allu Arjun has been listed as accused number 11.
The incident took place during the premiere show when a large crowd gathered at the theatre, leading to a stampede-like situation. The case was registered following the incident, and an investigation was launched to determine responsibility for the alleged lapses in crowd management and security arrangements.
The charge sheet reportedly outlines the roles of various individuals, including theatre authorities and members of the actor’s security detail, in connection with the incident. Further legal proceedings in the matter are expected to follow.
