Khuralgarh, February 6, 2026: Impressed by the elaborate and well-planned arrangements for the grand celebration of the 649th Parkash Purab of Sri Guru Ravidas Maharaj Ji, the Sant Samaj lauded the Punjab Government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann.
Addressing the congregation during the state-level event dedicated to the 649th Parkash Purab, Sant Nirmal Das Ji Jode Wale said that the Guru Ravidas Ji Sadhu Samprada Society and the entire Sant Samaj congratulate the Punjab Government, especially the Chief Minister, for making comprehensive arrangements. He said that Sri Guru Ravidas Ji had meditated at Khuralgarh for more than four years, making the place sacred, and it is a matter of great pride that the Punjab Government is celebrating the Parkash Purab on this holy land with full devotion and respect.

From Dera Ballan, Sant Pradeep Das Ji said that the day is historic as the Chief Minister, along with the entire cabinet and Members of Parliament, reached Khuralgarh to pay obeisance on the auspicious occasion. He added that the Punjab Government has provided 10 acres of land near Dera Ballan for establishing the Sri Guru Ravidas Bani Study Centre, for which the Sant Samaj is thankful. He appreciated the government’s efforts to preserve and promote the glorious legacy of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji.
Speaking on the occasion, Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema said that under the leadership of the Chief Minister, the Punjab Government has prepared a roadmap for year-long celebrations of the forthcoming 650th Parkash Purab of Sri Guru Ravidas Maharaj Ji, which has begun today. He said these programmes will help spread the teachings of Guru Ravidas Ji across the country and the world. He also informed that a cabinet sub-committee has been constituted for these celebrations, and he has been entrusted with leading it.
Earlier, Cabinet Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sondh welcomed the devotees and said that the Punjab Government is committed to carrying forward the state’s rich heritage to future generations.
Punjab Vidhan Sabha Deputy Speaker Jai Kishan Rodi thanked the Chief Minister for launching year-long programmes from the holy land of Sri Khuralgarh Sahib and said that the sacred place falls in his Garhshankar विधानसभा constituency.
Before the event, the Chief Minister and the entire cabinet offered prayers for the welfare of all after the Bhog of Sri Akhand Path Sahib and paid obeisance at the Tap Asthan (meditation site) of Sri Guru Ravidas Maharaj Ji.
