SAS NAGAR (MOHALI): Bhagwant Singh Mann, Chief Minister of Punjab, on Sunday assured industry leaders of full government support and incentives while addressing entrepreneurs on the concluding day of the three-day Progressive Punjab Investors’ Summit in Mohali. He said the summit witnessed strong participation from national and international investors and has created the right environment for industrial growth in the state. The Chief Minister also announced that the government will hold a review meeting after six months to assess the progress of the investment proposals and projects finalised during the summit.

Addressing business leaders, Mann said around 30 sessions were held during the summit, which would help accelerate Punjab’s economic growth and generate employment opportunities for the youth. He emphasised that the state government is focused on promoting industry, encouraging investment and creating jobs to curb brain drain and channel the energy of young people into productive sectors. Mann added that the government inherited several financial and administrative challenges but has taken steps to improve governance and put the state back on the path of development.

The Chief Minister also highlighted the entrepreneurial spirit of Punjabis and said the state offers a favourable environment for business with strong manufacturing capabilities and growth in sectors such as pharmaceuticals and information technology. Cabinet Ministers Sanjeev Arora, Harbhajan Singh ETO and Barinder Goyal, along with Chief Secretary KAP Sinha, were also present on the occasion and addressed the gathering.
