Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini inaugurated and laid the foundation stones of five development projects worth ₹103.31 crore during the Uchana Dhanyavad Rally held in Uchana, Jind district today. These included three inauguration projects worth ₹28.54 crore and two foundation stone projects worth ₹74.77 crore.

On the occasion, the gathering was also addressed by Public Health Engineering and Public Works Minister Ranbir Gangwa, Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Krishan Kumar Bedi, and Deputy Speaker of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha, Dr. Krishan Middha.

Public Health Engineering and Public Works Minister Ranbir Gangwa said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, the double-engine government is carrying out development works at a rapid pace across the state. Referring to the Assembly elections, he said the people of Uchana played a decisive role in forming the BJP government.

He stated that the Chief Minister is ensuring equal development across Haryana. Sh. Gangwa said there was a misconception that only political dynasties could win from this constituency. Another myth was that the BJP formed the government only after certain leaders joined the party. The people of Uchana have dispelled both these misconceptions. He added that those who had been Ministers at the Centre, MPs and MLAs were shown that it is the people—not political families—who decide who will win.

No pension has been stopped in state: Bedi
Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Krishan Kumar Bedi said that the Bangar region has always played a significant role in politics. There was a time when the Congress won five seats from here, and leaders like Chaudhary Devi Lal also won from this region. However, he said that now the people have placed their trust in the BJP, Narendra Modi and Nayab Singh Saini.

Bedi said that leaders elected from here earlier used their political gains for positions at the national and state levels but did not devote time to the development of this area. In contrast, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini is reaching out to the people directly, resolving their issues and accelerating development works.

He alleged that the opposition is unable to digest the welfare measures being undertaken and is spreading misinformation among the public. On the issue of pensions, he clarified that the government has neither stopped nor planned to cut anyone’s pension. Only those cases where complaints were received were temporarily held for verification by officials. However, the Chief Minister directed that verification may continue, but pensions should not be stopped.

He further said that during the tenure of former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, pensions of elderly people were not only stopped but notices were also issued asking for recovery with interest and penalties. In contrast, the present government has not taken such action and has increased pensions every year.

All-round development taking place in Haryana: Middha
Deputy Speaker of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha, Dr. Krishan Middha, said that Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini believes in service and not enjoying power. In this spirit, the Chief Minister is visiting all 90 Assembly constituencies to accelerate development works.

He said the state government is implementing development projects at a fast pace. Highlighting recent works carried out in Jind district, Dr. Middha mentioned the construction of a new bypass, a medical college, a new railway station, and the establishment of an IMT in Jind district. He added that the pace of development has unsettled the opposition, which had earlier claimed it would return to power, but the people rejected those claims.
