Shimla: A Tibetan delegation led by Lhakpa Tsering, Chief Representative of the Central Tibetan Administration in Shimla called on Governor Kavinder Gupta at Lok Bhavan, today.
During the interaction, the Governor said that Himachal Pradesh has always shared a deep and harmonious relationship with the Tibetan community. He said that the presence of His Holiness in Dharamshala has given the state a distinct identity on the global stage. He said that the life of the Dalai Lama is a living example of compassion, non-violence, peace and universal human welfare. It provides moral guidance to people across the world and his teachings continue to inspire not only the Tibetan community but humanity at large.
He also lauded the significant contribution made by the Tibetan brothers and sisters towards the social, cultural and economic development of the state. On the occasion, Lhakpa Tsering honoured the Governor. Senior officers of Lok Bhavan were also present on the occasion.
