Chandigarh: Veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra has been admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai, sparking concern among fans and well-wishers. Soon after the news broke, social media flooded with prayers for his speedy recovery. His sons Bobby Deol and Sunny Deol, along with other family members, are reportedly by his side at the hospital.
In an official health update, Dharmendra’s team assured that the 89-year-old actor is stable and doing fine. They clarified that he was not hospitalised due to any serious illness but for a routine medical check-up. Considering his age, the visit was part of his regular health monitoring schedule. The team urged fans not to worry and to continue sending their love and prayers.
Dharmendra, who will turn 90 in December, remains active and continues to work in films. His family is said to be particularly cautious about his health and ensures he undergoes regular medical evaluations.
On the professional front, the legendary actor is set to appear in his upcoming film “21”, directed by Sriram Raghavan. The film is based on the life of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetrapal, a hero of the 1971 India-Pakistan war. Dharmendra plays the role of the soldier’s father, while Agastya Nanda, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Simar Bhatia feature in key roles.
