Bathinda: In a significant security operation, Counter Intelligence Bathinda, in coordination with Bathinda Police, has apprehended three individuals linked to the banned outfit Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) for writing pro-Khalistan slogans on school walls in the villages of Bhissiana and Mananwala. The activities were reportedly orchestrated under the direction of USA-based SFJ leader Gurpatwant Singh Pannu.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the accused painted inflammatory messages intended to incite unrest and promote anti-national sentiments. Officials also discovered evidence suggesting that these activities were funded by foreign sources to destabilize local peace.

Authorities said that swift police action prevented any escalation of the situation and ensured that the anti-national acts were immediately halted. The investigation has been conducted using scientific and professional methods to collect evidence and hold the perpetrators accountable.

Punjab Police emphasized its commitment to safeguarding public safety and preserving harmony across the state. A spokesperson said, “Our teams will continue to act decisively against elements attempting to disturb the peace, ensuring that no unlawful or anti-national activity goes unchecked.”

The arrests underline the state’s proactive approach in countering extremist propaganda and preventing foreign-backed attempts to disrupt law and order in Punjab.
