Mohali— The hearing on Shiromani Akali Dal leader Bikram Singh Majithia’s petition seeking a change of barrack in jail has been postponed. The matter will now be heard alongside his bail plea in court tomorrow.

Majithia, who is currently lodged in jail in connection with a drug-related case, had filed the petition requesting a transfer to a different barrack citing personal and legal reasons. However, the court deferred the matter for combined hearing with the bail petition, which is already listed for hearing.

Heavy security was deployed outside the court premises, and several supporters of the Akali Dal leader were also present during the brief proceedings.
