L&T Contribute Rs 5 Crore For Chardikala Mission

Chandigarh: In a humanitarian gesture, the staff and management of multinational giant Larsen and Toubro company has contributed Rs 5 crore to the Chardikala Mission started by the Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann for helping the flood victims of the state.

Handing over the cheque to the Chief Minister Board of Director DK Sen, CEO Nabha Power Plant Suresh Narang, Branch Manager Chandigarh Jaswant Singh and Administration Head Nabha Power Plant Gaganveer Cheema said that it is the moral duty of the company to help the flood victims of the state. They said that coming forward to help the flood ravaged people, the staff and management of the company has contributed Rs 5 crore to the state government. They said that the company stands in solidarity with the victims of the natural catastrophe in this hour of grave crisis.

Chief Minister said that Chardikala Mission is an initiative aimed at supporting the welfare of flood victims in Punjab. Expressing heartfelt gratitude to the multinational company for this noble gesture, he said that several philanthropists have already come forward to support the Chardikala Mission. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that Mission Chardikala is a global fundraising campaign which has been launched to raise funds for the state government’s rehabilitation initiatives for the 2025 Punjab flood victims.

Reiterating the spirit behind the initiative, the Chief Minister said, “Just as Chardikala signifies the eternal Sikh spirit of strength and optimism in the face of adversity, Mission Chardikala is a call to action for all Punjabis around the world to unite as one family during this time of unprecedented hardship.” He expressed hope that more Punjabis across the globe will continue to contribute generously toward rebuilding the Punjab of their dreams. Assuring transparency and accountability, Bhagwant Singh Mann reiterated that every penny collected will be spent judiciously for the welfare and rehabilitation of flood victims.
