Gunfire Reported at Multiple Canadian Properties Linked to Navi Dhesi; Lawrence Bishnoi Gang Claims Responsibility

Toronto: Several locations linked to Navi Dhesi in Canada have come under fire in what appears to be a targeted attack claimed by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The incidents, which unfolded over the past three days, have raised fresh concerns about transnational gang activity tied to the India-based criminal network.

A social media post attributed to a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility for the shootings, alleging that Dhesi had extorted Rs 50 lakh from individuals, including artists, by falsely using the gang’s name. The post further warned that such actions would not be tolerated and insisted the gang had no issue with ordinary working people.

“All the places where shots were fired belong to Navi Dhesi. He took money from people, claiming links with Lawrence Bhai. We’ve been targeting his locations for three days now,” read the post, which has since circulated across multiple platforms. The message also issued a broader threat, stating that anyone found exploiting the gang’s name or harassing its associates could be targeted—if credible evidence is provided.

Local Canadian authorities have not yet officially confirmed the number of properties affected or the extent of the damage. No injuries have been reported so far, but law enforcement agencies are actively investigating the claims and monitoring suspected gang-related activities.

This comes just weeks after the Canadian government designated the Lawrence Bishnoi gang as a terrorist entity, citing growing concerns over its influence and operations abroad. The gang, originally based in India, has been linked to organized crime, extortion, and violence across international borders, including in North America.

Community members in affected areas are calling for tighter surveillance and international cooperation to curb the spread of such criminal networks into Canadian territory.
