Six Dead, One Critically Injured After Car Hits Parked Truck in Muzaffarnagar

MUZAFFARNAGAR: A tragic accident claimed six lives, including three women, when a speeding car rammed into a stationary truck near a roadside dhaba in the Titavi area on Wednesday. One other person sustained serious injuries in the collision.

According to Police Circle Officer Rupali Rao, the incident took place on the Panipat-Khatima highway under the jurisdiction of Titavi police station. The car, carrying seven passengers, lost control and crashed into the parked truck.

The victims were identified as Mohini (44), Anju (30), Vimmi (35), Rajendra (50), Shiva (30)—who was driving the car—and Piyush (30). All hailed from Faridpur in Haryana. The group was traveling to Haridwar to perform the last rites by immersing the ashes of a deceased family member when the accident occurred.

Authorities rushed to the scene soon after receiving the distress call and transported the injured individual to a nearby hospital, where his condition remains critical. The deceased were taken for post-mortem examination as investigations into the cause of the crash continue.
