One Worker Dies, Two Critical After Sewer Gas Leak in Madhya Pradesh’s Satna

Satna — A sewer cleaning tragedy struck Madhya Pradesh’s Satna district on Thursday when one worker died and two others were left in critical condition after inhaling toxic gas.

The incident occurred around noon near Triveni Palace in the Kripalpur area, Kolgawan police station house officer (SHO) Sudip Soni confirmed. The deceased has been identified as Amit Kumar. The two others remain hospitalised and are battling for their lives.

Police said a complaint application has been filed against the private sewer company assigned the cleaning work. Authorities have launched a probe to determine accountability and prevent similar incidents.
