Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini’s two-day visit to Gujarat has yielded significant success in attracting investments to the state. Following positive outcomes from meetings with leading industrialists and investors in Gujarat, Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) for investment proposals worth over Rs. 50,000 crore have been signed for Haryana. These investment proposals are expected to accelerate industrial development and create extensive employment opportunities in the state.

On Wednesday, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini held one-to-one meetings with business leaders and investors in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. Industries and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh was also present on the occasion.

The MoUs signed on Wednesday primarily include investment proposals worth around Rs. 25,000 crore in the defence, real estate, and oil and gas sectors. In addition, investment proposals worth Rs. 1,400 crore have been received in the agriculture and food processing sector and Rs. 2,900 crore in the semiconductor sector. MoUs have also been signed for investments in the compressed biogas and civil aviation sectors. On the first day of the visit, MoUs involving investments worth around Rs. 12,000 crore had also been signed.

The Chief Minister said that Haryana will play a significant role in realising Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Make in India’ initiative. Under the Prime Minister’s guidance, the state government is committed to fulfilling the vision of ‘Viksit Bharat–Viksit Haryana’. The government aims to make Haryana a leading state in investment, industry, and manufacturing, while creating new employment opportunities and accelerating the state’s economic growth.

He said that these investment proposals reflect Haryana’s industrial potential, investor-friendly policies, and the growing confidence of investors in the state. The state government is making efforts to advance these proposals through the prescribed procedures and facilitate their implementation on the ground, thereby expanding industrial activity and creating new employment opportunities for the youth.
