New Delhi: Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh has reacted to speculation surrounding his upcoming Delhi concert, taking a swipe at people who declared the show postponed amid reports of permission-related concerns.
During an Instagram Live session, Diljit addressed the wave of social media posts and discussions about his October 30 performance in the national capital. He urged people to verify information before turning it into reels, tweets and debates.
“Main ye bol raha tha ki ban gayi reels, ban gaye tweets, ho gayi aapki newsroom ki debates. Ab milte hain 30 tareekh ko Delhi mein. Pehle news pata kar liya karo, kacha dhuan maare jaa rahe ho. Kacha dhuan maarne se achha hai pehle baat pata kar liya karein,” he said.
The singer’s remarks made it clear that he intends to meet his fans in Delhi on October 30, pushing back against speculation that the concert had been postponed.
What Did Diljit Say About The Delhi Concert Controversy?
Diljit also criticised the rush to debate the issue without first establishing what had happened. He said he had decided to come live partly because discussions about his concert were spreading across social media and newsrooms.
“Aivai debate par debate kare jaa rahe hain, tweet par tweet kare jaa rahe hain. Bahut badhiya din hai, toh socha live aa jaayein. Baat bhi karni thi bahut saari. Reels ho rahi thi, tweets ho rahe the, newsroom ki debates chal rahi thi,” he added.
The singer’s comments appeared to target the speculation around his show rather than announce a change to the concert schedule. He ended the session by repeating that he would meet fans in Delhi on October 30.
Why Was Diljit Dosanjh’s Delhi Concert In The News?
The concert had attracted attention after reports said Delhi Police had denied permission for the event, citing security concerns. The reports prompted questions about whether the October 30 show would go ahead as planned.
Diljit’s Instagram Live response has pushed back against claims that the concert had been postponed. However, his statement about meeting fans on the scheduled date should be distinguished from formal confirmation of all event permissions and arrangements.
Fans planning to attend should check updates from the concert organisers and official ticketing channels for the latest information.
Diljit Dosanjh’s Message To Social Media Users
Diljit’s central message was simple: establish the facts before amplifying a claim. His remarks came after the concert rumours had generated online discussion and media coverage.
By reiterating the October 30 date, the singer sought to reassure fans that he still planned to perform in Delhi. The concert’s final arrangements should nevertheless be confirmed through official event updates.
