CHANDIGARH: Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Wednesday condemned the murder of social activist Parvinder Singh Jhota in Mansa, asserting that everyone responsible for the crime would face strict action, with the main accused already arrested within 24 hours. Declaring that Punjab’s hard-earned peace and law and order would not be compromised at any cost, he warned that anyone found involved in a conspiracy behind the murder would also be brought to justice.
Reaffirming the government’s zero-tolerance policy towards drugs, the Chief Minister said no drug peddler, regardless of their influence or power, would be spared, as protecting Punjab’s youth from the drug menace remained a top priority.

The main accused has already been arrested within 24 hours. If the investigation reveals the involvement of any other individual or organisation in a conspiracy behind this murder, they will also not be spared.”
